SALON LIKE FACIAL AT HOME - STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE | HOME FACIAL TIPS

Who doesn't love to pamper his/her skin?
In addition to being a pampering treat, Facials are the key to a healthy, youthful and radiant skin. A facial in every 15 days helps in removing impurities and dead skin cells, promoting circulation, renewing tired, stressed skin and thus maintaining a radiant healthy glow.

While professional spa facials definitely offer a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, they can be extremely costly. In addition to being expensive, it can be bit difficult to especially take out time for a facial at the spa or salon. (I am very lazy in this case. Arghhh!!!!)

Therefore, at-home facials are an affordable alternative. And by following this step-by-step guide , you can do salon like facial at home whenever and wherever it's convenient to you.
Yes, CONVENIENT!! Yay!!

Things you will need:

  • Head Band
  • Round Cotton Pads
  • Clean Wash Cloth
  • Cold Water in a Bowl
  • A good Facial Kit (i.e. including a gentle Cleanser or Cleansing Milk, Mild Scrub, Massage Cream or Gel, Face Pack, Toner and Moisturiser)

Steps:

Step 1: Tie your hair back
Tie your hair back and use a headband to hold bangs or short hair away from the face.
Step 2: Cleansing
Use cleansing milk or a gentle cleanser to clean your face and neck. Devote 2-3 minutes.
Now using a clean washcloth, wipe it off properly.
Step 3: Scrub
Take a mild scrub and apply it on your face and neck. Leave it on for a minute. Now massage it on the face and neck for 3-4 minutes in a gentle, circular motion.
Wipe it off using a clean washcloth.
Step 4: Massage
This step is very important and 8-10 minutes should be devoted to massage your face and neck for a nurturing experience. A hydrating massage Cream is most suitable for dry-skinned people while a Gel is suitable for people having oily skin.
Please be very gentle with your skin while giving a massage. Do not rub your skin and do not rush. Massage with soft hands. Massage gently and with love. After all it's YOUR skin and deserves all the love, isn't it?
Step 5: Face Mask

  • Apply a face pack on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Face pack should be selected according to your skin type. If you have an oily skin, mud packs will work for you and if your skin is dry, nourishing fruit packs will give best results.
  • Once the pack starts drying, please do not speak.
  • You can read books, listen to music or relax your eyes by placing cucumber slices or round cotton pads dipped in chilled rose water on them in those 15 minutes.
  • Wipe off the face mask using clean washcloth.

Step 6: Toning
Dampen a cotton pad with a small amount of alcohol-free toner and gently sweep across the skin. Make sure you use an alcohol-free toner.
Step 7: Moisturising
Last step is to moisturise your skin using the moisturiser that suits you.

And there you are with clean, toned, radiant and beautiful skin.

TIP: CTM i.e. Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising routine can be followed every day-twice i.e. once in the morning and once before taking off to your dream world ie. before going to bed and you will definitely see a huge difference in a week or so.
