AT-HOME MANICURE: A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE | EASY MANICURE TIPS

Hands! Our hands do so much work for us. From writing, painting, drawing to cleaning, cooking and other daily chores to expressing yourself to expressing your love to your loved ones..hands surely do so much for us! Did I forget typing? Eeee... :D

Our hands deserve all the love and care. So, it's time to show some love to them. Here's a step-by-step guide to do an easy Manicure at home and reward our hands with all the love and care they deserve.

Things you will need:

  • Nail polish remover and Cotton Balls
  • A medium sized tub to do the soaking.
  • Shampoo
  • Oil (Any like Mustard Oil / Olive Oil)
  • Soft Bristles Brush
  • Manicure Tools Kit ( which includes Cuticle Pusher, Cuticle Trimmer, Nail Clipper, Nail File, Orangewood Stick)
  • Scrub
  • Towel
  • Hand Cream
  • Your Favorite Nail Paint

Procedure:

  • Remove Old Nail Paint: First and foremost remove old nail paint using an Acetone-free nail polish remover.
  • Soak Your Hands: Next fill a tub with lukewarm water. Add 1 teaspoon shampoo and 4-5 drops of oil to the same. Soak your hands in the tub for 10-15 minutes.
  • Clean Your Hands: Clean your hands using soft bristles brush.
  • Trim, File and Clean Your Nails: Trim your nails using Nail Clipper and file them neatly using Nail Filer. Make sure you remove the debris from under the nails using Orangewood Stick.
  • Push back Cuticle Layer and  Trim Cuticles: Using the Cuticle Nail Pusher, push back the cuticle layer and if it sticks out then carefully nip it with a cuticle trimmer. Use the cuticle trimmer with caution.
  • Scrub your hands: Next step is to scrub your hands. Use a gentle scrub. This will help in removing dead skin.
  • Wash your hands and pat dry: Wash your hands with clean water and pat them dry using a soft towel.
  • Moisturising: Using a good hand cream, moisturise them.
  • Apply your favorite Nail Paint: Now apply your favorite nail paint.
